Basketweave LVT flooring in a hallway

LVT flooring, waterproof and hard-wearing

LVT gives you the look of natural wood or stone with a floor that's warm underfoot, quiet and waterproof. It works in almost any room: living rooms, hallways, kitchens and bathrooms.

LVT · Luxury vinyl tiles

What is LVT flooring?

LVT stands for luxury vinyl tile. It's a layered floor with a printed design and a clear, hard-wearing wear layer on top, made to look like real wood or stone at a fraction of the upkeep.

Because it's waterproof and copes with everyday spills, LVT is one of the most popular choices for kitchens and bathrooms. It's also comfortable and quiet underfoot, and a damp mop is all it needs to stay looking new.

Questions

LVT: your questions answered

What's the difference between LVT and laminate?

Both can look like real wood. LVT is a vinyl floor, so it's waterproof and feels softer and quieter underfoot. Laminate has a wood-fibre core and a very tough surface, which makes it great value for living areas and hallways.

Can LVT go in a bathroom or kitchen?

Yes. LVT is waterproof and easy to clean, which is why it's one of the most popular floors for kitchens and bathrooms.

What is a wear layer?

The wear layer is the clear protective top layer of LVT. A thicker wear layer stands up better to heavy traffic, so we'll suggest the right one for each room.
